This section illustrates my foundational grasp of core business functions - finance, legal basics, operations, resources, marketing, market analysis, and supply infrastructure - through practical assignments centered on two service -based ventures: Ashley Loves Clover (pet care services) and A&E Total Transformations (home remodeling and renovations).
Across the projects, I built brand identities, conducted market/competitor analysis and customer surveys, created marketing assets (social media profiles, ad creatives, before-and-after visuals, paid search plans, SEO elements), developed a 12-month content calendar with seasonal themes and engagement tactics, and outlined operational essentials.
These works show my ability to connect marketing execution, financial awareness, operational planning, and market insights into realistic, actionable plans that support launching and sustaining small service businesses in local competitive markets.
Final Project - Ashley Loves Clover
This project demonstrates baseline knowledge of core business operational elements by developing a comprehensive brand identity, marketing strategy, and launch plan for “Ashley Loves Clover,” a professional dog walking, sitting, boarding, and grooming service targeting busy families, seniors, military personnel, and local pet owners in the El Paso area. I conducted market analysis (competitor research on sites like Rover, Wag, and local providers), customer surveys (potential clients and employers), and target audience segmentation (including military discounts and senior-friendly messaging), while addressing operational aspects such as service scheduling, pricing tiers, resource needs (insurance, transportation, supplies), and basic legal considerations (liability, contracts). The project includes logo and typography development (using psychology of color and playful, trustworthy aesthetics), social media profiles and ad creatives (Facebook, Instagram), paid search campaign planning (Google Ads key terms, budgets, CPC benchmarks), content calendar, SEO titles/descriptions, and promotional tactics like military discounts and referral incentives to drive customer acquisition and retention. Through this work, I integrated finance, marketing, operations, and market analysis (survey insights, competitive positioning) into a cohesive, realistic small-business plan—showcasing foundational understanding of the interconnected elements required to successfully operate and grow a service-based pet care business.
12-month Content Calendar
This 12-month social media content calendar, developed as part of my coursework demonstrating baseline knowledge of business operational elements, serves as a comprehensive marketing and engagement strategy for A&E Total Transformations, a home remodeling and renovation business. I planned themed monthly campaigns (e.g., "Summer Kick Off" in July, "Spring into Transformation" in March, and seasonal holiday tie-ins in November), structured weekly content pillars (Tip Tuesdays, Throwback Thursdays, Project Spotlights, Client Testimonials, Motivational Mondays, and community interaction posts), and incorporated timely hooks such as Independence Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Small Business Saturday to drive brand visibility, lead generation, and customer loyalty. The calendar addresses key operational marketing aspects - including consistent posting cadence, audience engagement tactics (polls, tags, FAQs, before-and-after reels), content variety (educational tips, project showcases, seasonal promotions, and holiday appreciation), and resource planning (visual themes, copy guidelines, call-to-action placement)—while aligning with broader business goals like showcasing expertise, building trust, and encouraging bookings year-round. This work highlights my foundational understanding of marketing operations, content strategy, and how structured, audience-focused planning supports sustainable customer acquisition and brand growth in a service-based industry.
Garage Renovation
The ad highlights a real before-and-after garage-to-attached-dwelling-unit (ADU) transformation designed for multi-gen families - from grandparents to grandkids - incorporating strong visual storytelling, clear value proposition ("Your Perfect Multi-Gen Space Awaits"), urgency ("Call Us Today!"), and trust signals (A+ BBB rating, Accredited Business badge, free no-obligation quotes). It integrates key marketing and operational elements such as audience targeting (families needing accessible, intergenerational housing), compelling copywriting, high-quality imagery, prominent call-to-action with phone number, and branding consistency (logo, color scheme, contact info), while supporting broader business goals like lead generation, credibility building, and showcasing craftsmanship to drive inquiries in a competitive local remodeling market. This work illustrates my understanding of how effective digital advertising, visual assets, and customer-focused messaging align with operations, marketing, and resource utilization to generate measurable business results in a service-based industry
Exterior Upgrades
This project, features a high-impact before-and-after visual ad for A&E Total Transformations, showcasing a garage door and exterior remodel that modernizes a home’s curb appeal while maintaining a cohesive, upscale aesthetic. This work reflects my foundational understanding of how effective visual advertising, branding resources, and customer-focused messaging align with marketing, operations, and lead-generation strategies to generate measurable results for a service-based home improvement business.
